Yohan Serfaty: Spring Collection

Photobucket
The looks are fairly simple, yet Yohan Serfaty has managed to put together quite a fancy little collection here. The leathers look great, but a bit too much for the spring season I'm use to... the jackets and blazers are fly as hell too. Great use of textures and layering. Its not too much, it simply accentuates the quality of the line, because it's trendy & savvy, and not overloaded. The form fitting, but masculine look of the line kind of sets off this ingredient of Rock-star appeal, and I'm not gonna lie... I kinda dig it.

Levi's x Kaws "Navy Teeth"

Photobucket
As it turns out the recent collaboration of Kaws and Levi’s also includes a denim model with a navy teeth design and not only the red/white design (which I was not really feelin). The “Navy Teeth” Chompers design by Kaws is much more subtle, as the design is only embroidered and not printed onto the denim. Too bad the price tag isn't THAT subtle. Sitten at about $300. That's Kaws for ya!

The Levi’s x Kaws “Navy Teeth” Denim is now available at the Levi's ESHOP.

Blood is the New Black...?

MOTO VEST
Photobucket
Another tee popularized by Mr. Wayne Carter himself. The "Rock -n- Roll Star"... yeaaah. I wonder if he changed stylist when he decided to be a "Rock -n- Roll Star." Either way, the t-shirt is dope. I love the little shot of Versace in the bottom corner. [Correction: not Versace, but Karl Lagerfeld.]
Designed by Brian Lichtenberg, but sold at BLOOD IS THE NEW BLACK. The clothing retailer has a great concept of featuring t-shirts done by ARTISTS. The site also has links to all 21 artists and their websites to view their portfolios. These cats are Legit and the clothes are Official! They feel very exclusive with the 'one of a kind' look to each of them. The 'Moto Vest' tee was Lichtenberg's only piece (haha) available through BITNB, but his link is available above to view his other products.

Fruition: pleasurable use or possession.

AKA: a Las Vegas’ retro inspired boutique FRUITION.
Photobucket
This "simple" boutique focuses on what Really matters... the clothes. They carry a unique blend of whats now and whats next. Some of the designs include Cassette Playa Treatment over Archival Maui & Sons Tee, Cassette Playa Treatment over Archival Black Magic Print, Cassette Playa Treatment over Archival Wizard Of Oz Print and more. An 80s base with sprinkles of 2010. NAH-MEAN!
If you can't make it out to Vegas to see this sight for yourself, I'd highly suggest going to their WEBSITE. The way they have chosen to sell their products through a blog format is different. But again, it's simple and focuses on the content.

SABIT NYC Winter 2008

"This is Japanese influenced street couture!”
•Shoichi Amemiya•
Photobucket

Inspired by the philosophy of Tanoshinde, the Japanese term for enjoy. The New York based label: Sabit, designed by Shoichi Amemiya, has created a line of apparel infused with a unique spirit of optimism and subtle flare. The Japanese-born Shoichi finds inspiration from his experience as director of outerwear for Marc Ecko, where he acted as director of the outerwear division. He launched Sabit in 2006 as a premium fashion denim and sportswear line. It's Japanese super cool style in reworked vintage pieces with great details. Their newest seasonal collection offers a unique take on varsity jackets with interesting textiles choice; for example: a buffalo plaid flannel jacket with a powerful purple lining and crazy leather trimmed jeans are definite standout pieces for the contemporary faux-hunter look.

This “street” inspired brand, founded by Leah McSweeney, was one of the first brands out there that catered solely to females. No longer just a t-shirt brand, MTTM has expanded into cut and sew, denim, accessories AAAAND some dope collaborations. These included two bikinis with KAWS, a bag with German accessory house MCM, a cashmere beanie with Kangol, a tee shirt designed by French female- graffiti artist Fafi and most recently, a tri-collaboration sneaker with Reebok and Colette in Paris which sold out in 23 minutes online.

Mishka: 2008 Holiday Line

Photobucket

Holiday season is upon us already! Both retailers and labels are gearing up for Holiday 2008 with distinctive and special collection. Though usually consider as a capsule collection, some, like Mishka, have forgo that concept and launched a full range collection instead.

Named “Exotica”, the Mishka Holiday 2008 Lookbook previews a collection filled with jackets, such as the popular Zeitgeist M-65 Jacket, Deather Adders Varsity Jacket, and Corduroy Coaches Jacket. Other styles in the collection including Keep Watch Sweater, imprinted with Mishka’s signature eyeball graphic, 100% cotton Green River Flannel Shirt, in addition to the countless graphic scarfs, gloves, New Era caps and other accessories. All are due to release in the coming weeks at Mishka retailers.

Photobucket

Here's the first look at the Mishka NYC Holiday 2008 collection. Mishka presents a strong collection that mixes well thought out cut-and-sew with their iconic graphics. The cap line-up is really strong as well, consisting of your usual New Era caps with a twist, but also some interesting specials. Their color selection surpasses the uniqueness of any other cap designer that I've come across.

I even heard a rumor, that turned out to be true, that on Election Day, they had a 22% off discount going on, if you entered OBAMA in the promo section. NOW HOW YA LUH DAT!? Obama's already saving us money!

Photobucket

The popular “design it yourself” project from Mishka, the Mishka Custom Shop, is back. The project allows shoppers to craft their very own Mishka tee, this time being the signature Mishka Half Mop T-Shirt. With 4 major design elements, a slew of color options, and a customized interior label function, shoppers could create about 108 different design combination on their t-shirt. The Mishka Custom Shop will be open from now till Friday, November 21st. All orders will begin to ship starting the first week of December.
